On the First Day of Christmas…
My true love gave to me..
One damn scary drive home:
Initially, when it started snowing at work today, it wasn’t so bad:
But, just an hour later:
And, thirty minutes later (after the sidewalk was shoveled):
And when I finally decided to leave work:
But then I faced the parking lot and was confused. Somehow, I was supposed to drive out of this parking lot…Hm…:
So I got on the road, slipping and sliding and was doing fine until I remembered – D’oh! This is a two lane road. So driving down the middle wasn’t the brightest thing to do:
I made it fine, thankfully. But then I got to the Old Toll Bridge. Aptly nicknamed, Bridge of Many Deaths (note: NOT one way, there are definitely two lanes, there, despite what the tire tracks lead you to believe. I was confused too.):
(P.S. I realize taking photos while driving in a mini-Nor’Eastern is probably a very silly thing to do. Thanks.)
But then! My true love took care of me by pulling out dangerously fast in front of me. Mr. Snow Plow Man, I love you dearly:
And, it hasn’t stopped snowing since I made my normally 30minute (but today – 2 hour) drive home.
The good news is a very dear friend, no, not Mr. Snow Plow Man, brought me in some sinful (come on, 1,000 calories for any drink is sinful) goodies that I enjoyed:
To see what was inside the bag, look on the right of this blog to my flickr sidebar. Oh man, I am spoiled.
Oh and P.S.S. (or is it P.P.S? I never know!) I’m going to try to do a twelve days of Christmas blog topic. Keyword being try – meaning I’ll probably give up on day five. What, who am I kidding? It’ll be amazing if I do day two.
