I’m so lame, you probably think this blog is dead

Sorry for letting my blog almost die, friends! Would you believe me if I said I had around 4 drafts saved that I started this weekend? I wouldn’t believe myself, but I’m actually telling the truth. I don’t have an easy way with words and I often give up too easily on posts that are destined for more than collecting dust.

But to update on my life in three minutes or less (READ FAST!) :

  • My cousin, Robby, passed away in his sleep sometime from Friday into Saturday morning. His temporary obituary is here if the link still works. A full one will be in the paper tomorrow. My mom and I are riding down to Rutland tomorrow night to stay for the “calling hours” and the next morning is the funeral. I know a lot of my family won’t be able to make it, so that’s why I provided the link.
  • I’ve been sick. I am happy that I got my temperature down from the 103 it was on Saturday, after I passed out in the shower. It could be because I’m finally getting what everyone else has already gotten over or it could be because I ran out of my ulcer medication and ate every bad thing the doctor told me not to. Needless to say, I am still going to work – both jobs. To make it simple, here is my weekly, typically-unchangeable schedule:

Monday-Thursday
7:30 – 4:00 Work 1st Job
4:05 – 7:30 or 8:30 Work 2nd Job

Friday
7:30 – 4:00 Work 1st Job

Saturday
9:00 – 3:00 Work 2nd Job

In between there I work on side projects I’m commissioned for. I wish I could take a day off when I am sick, but I’m one of those stupid people who hates to use their sick time. Plus, I’ve started new training with my second job that demands a consistent schedule. The fact that I can take bereavement for the funeral is a huge blessing. I won’t go to work if I’m projectile vomiting, though, and aren’t you thrilled I put that visual in your head?

  • Shane had his 23rd birthday Friday and we basically bar-hopped the whole night until 3 AM. It was INTENSE.
  • I have so many cutesy ideas (vignettes and more of my “Paragraphed Memory” posts), but I just haven’t had time. My house is atrocious and I am behind on every single one of my projects (like starting my home filing system, turning my bedroom into more than a “room with a bed and a lot of other shit,” and getting ready for my three day conference in the White Mountains). I will do better next time, honest.

Hey, you’re doing better than me on blogging – I still have three emails from you that I have to respond to! Needless to say, my weekend consisted of watching Hereos. THE WHOLE SEASON. And then when I got off the train this morning, after humping loads of strangers to the rhythm of the trains movement, I saw a guy who looked exactly like Sylar, and I shouted it at my boyfriend: “OMG! THAT GUY LOOKS EXACTLY LIKE……SYLAR!!!!!”.

So I better email you back before I go crazy, right?

Oh and one other thing, I cleaned my entire kitchen on Saturday morning – I thought of your house whlist doing it. I gotta send you pictures….It’ll make you feel better about the state of yours!

Hope you keep feeling better, and good luck tomorrow with the funeral.

P.S. As my comment was so long, I probably should have just blogged it. Oh well.

Hoping you can catch your breath with all this stuff going on. I find saying ‘Fuck it!’ helps me get through busy, hectic times. Of course any time I get to drop the F bomb, I will.

I have a million drafts – I totally understand. I have an old post called “I’m the bomb.. literally.” That’s what our place looks like right now – but sometimes you just have to say “F it” and go on with life to save yourself.

Faith is getting mad at me because I’m not picking the right Barbie online and it’s starting to piss me off.

Listen, you need to find a way to take it easy before you really get sick and everything has to come to a screeching halt. I’m so sorry about your cousin.

I’m sorry to hear about your cousin and that you have been sick. I feel bad in asking you to help me with my pictures for my post.

Hope you are feeling better and I appreciate your help. It worked!
