A Year in Review – Photos
I have a lot of say about 2009 and how I can’t wait to kick it out the door, but before I do that, I want to post photos that aptly represented my 2009.
January
Oh, look, here I am at 22ish weeks pregnant, in a hospital bed. That was fun!

A few weeks later…. (25 weeks)

February
My long-time best friend, Sona, came up to Vermont to rub my belly and visit for a long weekend. Here we are at a Japanese steakhouse. (Yes, I am just BURSTING with excitement here, right?)

While they visited, Stephen was able to hit the slopes with her boyfriend Will. Here is my love and I at the bottom of Pico Mountain.

**
March
My work threw a “dancing through the decades” benefit so Steve and I attended. We were the 80s, but we kind of mixed a lot of crappy style. (Wait, wasn’t that the 80′s in a nutshell?)

And here I am, 32 weeks pregnant.

**
April
Here I am, 36 weeks pregnant. Know where I am? BOSTON. We spent the entire weekend with Steve’s parents in Boston, hitting a Sox game, a few museums and etc. Except when I returned from this trip, the doctor told me I was actually 39 weeks pregnant. So all those miles logged in Boston could have easily put me in labor, awesome.

And here is Stephen at the Sox game. Oh, that pink mohawk was funny at the time (we did it for the game)….

Until we did our “maternity photo shoot” the week after. His SCALP WAS STAINED.

**
May
I don’t think I can really get into how monumental May was. I GAVE BIRTH. TO A HUMAN. (Story is here, so I avoid throwing a bunch of photos up again). But here is my baby shower. (Steve had drunk a lot of wine at this point, so he thought that that outfit was the FRONT of the pants. Which explains his face.

And one of my still-favorite photos of our little guy. MOMMA SAID KNOCK YOU OUT! (No one will get that reference, I know.)

**
June
June was crazy on every level imaginable, because DUDE. We moved across the country with a 4 week old and homicidal cat, in a car with broken A/C in late June. (Photos from that trip are here.) Who is this baby?!? I don’t recognize this baby anymore.

In Idaho! (Since this photo, I’ve packed twenty pounds on my husband. I, on the other hand…have lost maybe 5. WAH.)

**
July
July was kind of dull. Which was nice, for a change. We went to a Chukars game (the minor league team here) on Independence Day.

And my husband took some really crappy photos of the place we were moving into while I stayed at my dad’s, sick.

**
August
Another busy month because Steve and I tied the knot, grabbed the brass ring, stopped living in sin…whatevs.

Just a note. The sunflowers? Were a completely random flower choice. Our wedding was totally DIY and on the way to the location that morning, the only flowers I liked were these.

We moved into our new place and took advantage of the super awesome pool!

**
September
I flew to Sacramento and met 15 (or 16? I always forget) of the most amazing women bloggers on the plant. For reals. (That story is here. While there, Emily, Amber and Manda laid the smack down on Elizabeth‘s hammock.

**
October
Apparently October, although my birthday month, wasn’t all that exciting because all I have besides 8,000 photos of my kid is this one of our new rug. The one that we scored for $25 at Target because they marked the price ticket wrong. HUZZAH!

**
November
I took photos of my seemingly pant-less husband and our son. (He was wearing shorts. You can barely tell, though. WE DON’T LIKE PANTS.)

My husband finally got to try out our local indoor go-kart track. My husband is a car junkie and adrenaline junkie, this was AWESOME for him.

And he had his wedding ring tattooed on (in anticipation for his deployment). It hurt like a bitch (this coming from a guy who has been tattooed on his ribs, collarbone, arms, legs, etc – and this one hurt the worst).

**
December
December was a let-down, but let’s focus on the good here. I didn’t take any photos of crap, otherwise that would accurately represent this month. Stephen got a Christmas gift from his dad early. A new vest. (Again, in anticipation for deployment.)

And my kid was really excited about something I guess.

Annnnnnnnnnnnnd, that’s all, folks!
Thank you all for delurking or just leaving comments if you’re a more visible reader. I added SO many new blogs to my Reader and have met many wonderful bloggers. Big blogger hugs!

Happy New Year! I love your year in review pictures
Here’s to a happy and healthy 2010!
Whitney, your baby has the brightest cutest smile. Made my morning!
Shhhhhhhhh. Are any of my friends with kids listening? No? Okay…
You have, without a doubt, the CUTEST goshdurn baby I have ever seen. And I am *so* not a baby person.
Also, I wholly appreciate your view on pants. It is enacted in our apartment at all times.
Visit at your own risk.
xo
Mama said knock you out was one of the best LL Cool J songs ever. EVER.
I love that I remember all of the months of last year that you posted here. It’s so awesome that we have been friends since before it. Almost 2 years now!!
Totally wishing you and the boys a happy new year and may 2009 suck the balls of an old man.
Your baby is absolutely gorgeous!
You had QUITE the year- but quite the wonderful year in the end. Dublin is ADORABLE and your wedding was beautiful.
